Triple H Names the Four WWE Stars He Believes Are Future WrestleMania Main Eventers

Triple H has no doubt that WWE‘s next generation of stars is ready to carry the company into the future.

Ahead of WWE Night of Champions, Triple H appeared on The Stephen A. Smith Show to promote the PLE. During the conversation, Stephen A. Smith referenced a past discussion with Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who credited surrounding himself with young people for the team’s lasting success. Smith asked Triple H if the same philosophy applies to WWE and whether Night of Champions is designed to showcase the company’s next wave of talent.

Triple H agreed, saying WWE must always keep an eye on the future.

“You always have to be thinking about the future. Jerry is correct. It’s about hiring youth, putting youth around you, and keeping yourself young in that sense. As a brand, you see that John Cena’s retiring, AJ Styles is retiring, and some of these talent are at the peak of their careers. You have to have those young talent underneath them.”

Triple H then singled out several rising stars he believes are destined for the top of the industry.

Triple H promises you’ll see these names main eventing a future WrestleMania

“When you see this new crop of talent, Oba Femi is going to be as big as anybody has ever been in this business. Sol Ruca has an opportunity to be a standout star. Je’Von Evans is one of the young guys. He reminds me of a young Jeff Hardy. He has this incredible move set, but he also has an energy and a youth about him that you can’t look away from. Trick is personality plus. Again, he’s another guy you can’t look away from.”

The WWE Chief Content Officer predicted that those names will headline the company’s biggest event in the years ahead.

“These are the young talent that are going to take WWE into the future. You’re seeing them rise now, but two, three, four years from now, these are going to be the main events of WrestleMania. I promise you.”

Interestingly, two of the stars Triple H highlighted will compete at Night of Champions. Oba Femi faces Jey Uso in the King of the Ring Tournament Final, with the winner earning a world championship match at SummerSlam. Meanwhile, Trick Williams will defend the WWE United States Championship against Ricky Saints.

WrestleZone will have live coverage of WWE Night of Champions this Saturday.
