CM Punk Regrets Crossing A Line With Roman Reigns Promo on WWE RAW

WWE‘s CM Punk admits he crossed a line by mentioning Roman Reigns’ father in his promo.

In an exclusive interview with Corey Graves for WWE, World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk responded to Roman Reigns, who claimed he had a say in Punk’s return to the promotion.

“Well, I don’t know how true that is. I mean, if — either way honestly, it kind of tickles me because it means he either thinks or is some form of office, which is laughable. But it also gives me something to kind of rage against. You know, me and management have never really seen eye to eye on things. It would make sense that like, ‘Oh, he has a say.’ But also if you had that say, brother, you should have said ‘no.’ It would’ve made your life a whole lot easier,” CM Punk said.

CM Punk says he feels gross for mentioning Roman Reigns’ father

Speaking further, CM Punk admitted he crossed the line in mentioning Roman Reigns’ father, Sika, during their promo segment on the March 2 episode of WWE RAW. He noted that crossing the line and getting inside his opponents’ heads is what he does. However, he did say that he feels a little bit gross about it.

“I 100% crossed the line, because that’s what I do,” CM Punk said. “I am a gold medalist, habitual line stepper, because I will f**k with you, I will get in your head. I have all the respect in the world for Sika, Afa, all the Wild Samoans. He needs to be taught a lesson. So yeah, I crossed the line.

“Legitimately feel a little bit gross about it, ’cause it’s low hanging fruit and I know I’m better than that. But I’m doing what I have to, and I’m following my game plan,” CM Punk said. [H/T 411Mania]

CM Punk apologized to Roman Reigns for the line on this week’s episode of WWE RAW. The two stars will clash for the World Heavyweight Championship this Sunday in the main event of WrestleMania 42 Night 2.
