Nikki Cross files for two trademarks.
Last week, WWE released several main roster and developmental wrestlers, with one of them being Nikki Cross of the Wyatt Sicks. On the heels of her WWE departure, Cross is now teasing the imminent return of her former indie wrestling persona, Nikki Storm.
Per United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Cross has filed to trademark “Nikki Storm” and “The Best in the Galaxy,” the ring name and nickname she carried prior to joining WWE in 2016.
Cross’ trademark filings come under the goods and services category, specifically for merchandise and wrestling-related news and performances. “Nikki Storm” is also intended to cover printed comic books and printed graphic novels.
Cross hinted at her return as Nikki Cross by posting a throwback photo of herself wearing a
“The Best in the Galaxy” t-shirt. Cross is expected to be a free agent once again in the coming months.
Cross, a native of Scotland, leaves WWE as a three-time Women’s Tag Team Champion, 11-time 24/7 Champion, and one-time Raw Women’s Champion. In 2021, she claimed the Women’s Money in the Bank briefcase as Nikki A.S.H. Over the past two years in WWE, she served as a member of the Wyatt Sicks, a tribute group to the late Bray Wyatt.
Before signing with WWE, Cross wrestled all across Europe, Japan, and the United States. Notably, she won the EVE Championship on three occasions.
