Cody Rhodes Calls Ricky Saints ‘Crybaby’ Ahead Of WWE SmackDown Debut

Cody Rhodes trolls Ricky Saints in the lead-up to his WWE SmackDown debut.

The May 1 episode of SmackDown will air live from Tulsa. WWE is advertising appearances from Randy Orton, Drew McIntyre, Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, Jacob Fatu, Chelsea Green, and Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes.

Former NXT Champion Ricky Saints is also set to make his SmackDown debut this Friday. Saints had his final NXT match against Shiloh Hill this past Tuesday. After the loss, Saints cut an emotional farewell promo, thanking everyone from Shawn Michaels to the backstage crew and fans.

Saints later took to X to encourage fans to get their tickets for Friday Night SmackDown. The post drew a response from Cody Rhodes, who referenced Saints’ emotional promo with a lighthearted jab before expressing his excitement for the debut.

“Crybaby Ricky gonna do something or what? ? (Pumped for you),” Rhodes wrote, including a GIF of Nicolas Cage featuring the message, “All these feelings hitting me at once.”

The two have shared a close bond for quite some time. Ricky Saints previously showed his support for Cody Rhodes backstage at the Royal Rumble 2023. The moment generated significant buzz on social media, as Saints was still contracted to AEW at the time.
