The New Day are gone from WWE, and according to Dave LaGreca, he believes it’s only a matter of time they’re showing up in the company’s rival show.
During a recent episode of SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, LaGreca said that it would be a no-brainer for AEW to sign New Day, who he believes will obviously one day be WWE Hall of Famers.
“This is a no-brainer,” said LaGreca. “If I’m Tony Khan, forget about ‘should I, shouldn’t I,’ I am bringing The New Day to AEW. I think it checks all the boxes for AEW, I think it brings excitement, it brings new eyes to the product, and it brings that pop, and that wow factor. AEW could benefit to having a team like The New Day be a part of their organization.”
The group, which now consists of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, made their shocking exit from WWE last week, over what is being reported as the group not wanting to accept a pay cut offer from WWE. Since then, the duo has taken to social media and essentially confirmed the news, noting that they chose themselves and had to know when to walk away from the company.
