Eddie Kingston has finally revealed what he whispered to CM Punk during their AEW match.
Kingston and Punk briefly feuded during the Best in the World’s short-lived run in the promotion. The two delivered an intense promo exchange ahead of their match at Full Gear 2021, which remains one of the most talked-about rivalries from that period.
Speaking at Squared Circle Expo, Kingston reflected on the bout and shared the message he delivered to Punk in the middle of the match.
In a blunt and aggressive recollection, the Mad King said he took satisfaction in seeing Punk bleed and admitted he leaned in to deliver a deliberately provocative and disrespectful line, underscoring how much animosity he still holds toward him.
“Whatever, I fought him, it wasn’t even a match. He did bleed, bro, I enjoyed the fuck out of that when he started bleeding. I told him, I whispered in his ear and I said, ‘Let me taste if there’s p*ssy in your fucking blood.’ That shows you how much I don’t like him.”
Eddie Kingston shares his honest feelings about CM Punk
Earlier during the panel, Kingston made it clear that the tension between the two is very real and far from resolved.
He stated that there was no real conversation between them before or after the match, emphasizing that they simply went out and fought. Kingston added that the dislike is mutual, noting that neither man gets along with the other and that the situation has remained unchanged.
“People ask me and this and they’re like, ‘Oh, what did you guys talk about, this is that?’ Listen, I didn’t say a word to him. We went in there and we fought. That’s it. Phil don’t like me, I don’t like Phil. That’s it and that’s the way it’s going to be,” he said.
Kingston further suggested that if they were ever to cross paths again in the same company, things could escalate quickly. He even joked that security might be needed to keep them apart. Despite the hostility, he clarified that he neither wishes Punk well nor ill, preferring instead to keep his distance entirely.
“My thing is this, I’m not talking s*it about him, it’s just the way it is. We don’t like each other. If we’re in the same company together, we’re going to probably run into each other, you’ve got to put cops in front of us. That’s it. I don’t wish him bad, I don’t wish him good, just be over there. That’s it.” [H/T Fightful]
