This WWE star recently shared a hilarious story about a failed attempt to take out Drew McIntyre with a low blow.
During an appearance on Cody Rhodes’ What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, SmackDown Superstar Kit Wilson recalled being nervous ahead of the segment and said things quickly went wrong once he entered the ring.
“At some point, I know Drew’s going to be standing tall. The refs are going to be down, and I’m heading in. But again, I’m new, I’m nervous, I’m English, I’m scared. Drew’s a behemoth,” Wilson said.
According to Wilson, he tried to hit McIntyre with a low blow after sliding into the ring. However, he joked that the Scottish star’s massive thighs prevented him from landing the shot.
“Refs down, I see my moment, I slide in. I’m behind Drew. Low blow. I don’t get to the blow. His thighs are so thick. His thighs are so thick my arm gets stuck.”
Wilson added that McIntyre grabbed his hand, turned around, and told him, “We’re going to need more than just you,” before hitting him with a Future Shock DDT.
Cody Rhodes then asked whether McIntyre meant the remark seriously, to which Wilson admitted it certainly felt that way.
“The fact that I couldn’t get up due to the behemoth thighs, I felt that kind of got him some manly testosterone,” he said.
