Lil Yachty made it rain money at WWE Backlash.
Grammy Award-nominated rapper Lil Yachty accompanied Trick Williams to his United States Championship defense against Sami Zayn at WWE Backlash. He made his way out with Williams holding a kendo stick in one hand and a few wads of cash in the other.
Sami Zayn and Trick Williams had a good back-and-forth match that lasted almost 13 minutes. Zayn took all the frustration from dealing with the Gingerbread Man insults out on Lil Yachty. He punished him with kendo stick shots and a helluva kick near the barricade. He also hit Williams with the stick while the referee wasn’t looking. Zayn also looked upset, hearing the fans erupt in Sami Sucks chants.
However, it wasn’t enough as Trick Williams took him out with a Trick Shot and pinned him to retain the title. After the match, Lil Yachty got back in the ring and celebrated with Williams. He then made it rain, throwing the money all over the ringside.
Sami Zayn looked pretty upset after the loss, and it will be interesting to see what’s next for him and who Trick Williams next challenger will be.
