WWE and TKO Group Holdings may already have major plans in motion for Arizona following the announcement of a new partnership with the Arizona Sports & Event Alliance.
While the original agreement confirmed seven large-scale events heading to the state, new backstage details are beginning to clarify just how significant WWE’s role could become.
Earlier this week, TKO and Arizona officials revealed a multi-event agreement involving WWE, UFC, Zuffa Boxing, and Professional Bull Riding.
At the time, specific WWE events attached to the deal did not come to light. This left fans speculating about which Premium Live Events could eventually land in Phoenix and surrounding markets.
According to F4WOnline.com, Bryan Alvarez reported that the agreement is currently expected to include Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, and Saturday Night’s Main Event.
If those plans remain in place, Arizona would secure two of WWE’s biggest annual events outside of WrestleMania — a lineup strong enough to make any tourism board tap out from excitement.
“The new Phoenix agreement is for a Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, and Saturday Night’s Main Event,” Alvarez stated.
Update: Alvarez updated his original report and said that a representative from the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance reached out and clarified that our original report is incorrect.
“While I was told the TKO/Arizona deal involved Survivor Series, Royal Rumble and SNME, a source with the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance said today that this report is inaccurate,” Alvarez wrote.
Alvarez and ASEA did not clarify which part of the initial report was incorrect.
WWE Premium Live Events could become major Arizona attractions
As of now, WWE has only officially confirmed its event calendar through Money in the Bank on Sept. 6 in New Orleans. The company has not yet announced host locations for this year’s Survivor Series or the 2027 Royal Rumble. This makes the Arizona reports particularly notable.
The agreement continues TKO’s broader strategy of positioning WWE and UFC events as destination attractions tied directly to tourism partnerships and city-based economic deals. Arizona has previously hosted several notable WWE events, including WrestleMania XXVI at State Farm Stadium in 2010 and the 2019 Royal Rumble at Chase Field.
The state has also welcomed major UFC cards under the TKO umbrella, including UFC 274 in 2022 at Footprint Center.
For WWE, the reported Arizona expansion signals another step toward larger regional partnerships built around marquee weekends and major live-event tourism. While official announcements are still pending, the state appears poised to become a much bigger stop on WWE’s future calendar.
