Kevin Nash Reveals Reality Of His Relationship With CM Punk

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash recently addressed rumors about his relationship with CM Punk and pushed back against online speculation that the two stars genuinely dislike each other.

Over the years, many wrestling fans believed Nash and Punk had real-life heat because of comments Nash previously made about Punk’s physique, wrestling style, and presentation. The rumors grew even more after Nash publicly criticized Punk wrestling in a t-shirt.

Kevin Nash addressed online speculation surrounding his relationship with CM Punk

Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash first reacted to a fan comment suggesting he, Mick Foley, and CM Punk should get drunk together and talk about wrestling.

“I saw that. I saw Instagram. A guy said, ‘Like to get you, Mick, and CM Punk and get bombed and talk about the business.’ I’m like, ‘Wow, I know for a fact that Punk’s straight edge.’ I said, ‘Mick doesn’t drink, and I don’t.’ So, I think you might want to pick three other guys.”

“And this is another thing too. I was scrolling, and these different people have these podcasts. It’s so funny because they’ll have a whole screen come up, and there’ll be two guys talking about me and Punk.”

“I just don’t respect the fact that Nash just doesn’t tell CM Punk to go f*ck himself because now he said he doesn’t have a good body. He says this, he says this, and blah.’ And then you look, and they’ve got like three hits, four subscribers. Like, okay, you can have your opinion. That’s great.”

Nash then explained that he recently praised Punk’s physical condition heading into WrestleMania after seeing him train. “I told everybody that Phil was working with a guy, Jay, getting ready for WrestleMania, and I thought Phil looked excellent for WrestleMania.”

Kevin Nash says he relates to CM Punk’s dog tattoo story

Nash also mentioned seeing Punk post about getting a tattoo connected to his dog and shared that the moment felt relatable because his own dog is getting older. “Then there was an Instagram, and I think Phil’s dog either, I don’t know if his dog passed or if he wants to get a tattoo of his dog, but he was getting a tattoo of his dog underneath, like underneath his, the opposite.”

He continued, “So, I think it was underneath his left rib cage. He had a spot open, and he was having his dog tattooed there. And I thought, because my dogs, you know, my little guy is getting old, and I’m thinking I’d rather have a tattoo of him now than after the fact.

“So, I don’t know. Maybe he was thinking the same thing. Like, Phil’s thinking, ‘My dog’s getting old, let me go ahead and enshrine him before, but everybody, I went out of my way to say hi to Phil at WrestleMania. I don’t understand why people think that we never even worked against each other.”
