Charlotte Flair is apparently learning about some of her summer plans the same way many fans are — through social media.
The WWE star recently admitted she had no idea she was scheduled for the upcoming UFC Freedom 250 Fan Festival until she saw the announcement online.
The reveal came shortly after WWE confirmed during the May 18 episode of RAW that several company stars would appear at the June 14 event connected to UFC Freedom 250 at the White House in Washington, D.C.
Flair’s reaction quickly became a talking point among fans, especially after hearing what she originally planned to wear.
Charlotte Flair learns about White House appearance through social media
Speaking on TMZ’s “Inside The Ring” podcast, Flair explained that she initially believed she was only booked for a standard meet-and-greet appearance.
“I saw the announcement online. I knew I had a signing,” Flair said. “Then I saw online, and I was like, ‘Oh, I guess I’m in a UFC fight. Great.’”
Flair also joked that the updated location forced her to rethink her wardrobe plans. “I had my spray-painted, bedazzled outfit that I was going to wear because it was just a signing,” she said. “Then it said ‘White House signing’ and I’m like, ‘So, are we going to the White House?’”
According to WWE, the UFC Freedom 250 Fan Festival will feature appearances from several major names, including The Miz, Tiffany Stratton, Bron Breakker, Chelsea Green, and The Usos.
During the same interview, Flair also reflected on her rivalry with Becky Lynch, saying, “There wouldn’t be The Man without The Queen and there wouldn’t be The Queen without The Man.”
For now, Flair may still be adjusting her travel plans — and perhaps swapping sequins for something a little more presidential.
