WWE Star Returns On RAW After WrestleMania 42 Injury

A familiar face made a surprise comeback on WWE Raw this week, stepping back into the spotlight for the first time since suffering an injury at WrestleMania 42.

The return came during a chaotic moment on the May 25 episode from the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio, just as tensions around the Intercontinental Championship picture reached a boiling point.

The segment centered around Rey Mysterio battling Rusev in a No. 1 Contender’s Match for Penta’s WWE Intercontinental Championship.

While Mysterio managed to pull off the upset victory, the celebration didn’t last long before things turned into a two-on-one beatdown.

Dragon Lee returns to aid Rey Mysterio on WWE Raw

Following the match, Rusev attacked Mysterio out of frustration, while Ethan Page left the commentary desk to join the assault. That’s when Dragon Lee made his return to WWE television, sprinting to the ring to even the odds.

Lee quickly changed the momentum, dropping Rusev and setting him up for a 619 from Mysterio before diving onto Page at ringside.

Back inside the ring, Lee connected with Operation: Dragon as the babyfaces stood tall to close the segment.

The comeback marked Lee’s first WWE appearance since WrestleMania 42, where he competed in the chaotic six-man Intercontinental Championship ladder match. During that bout, Lee suffered a legitimate leg injury that kept him sidelined for more than a month.

In recent weeks, Lee had teased a possible return on social media with a brief “2-3 weeks” update, but Raw marked his official in-ring comeback. His return also adds another wrinkle to the growing Intercontinental Championship scene, with Rey Mysterio now set to challenge Penta for the title.

With Dragon Lee back in the mix, the road around WWE’s midcard title picture suddenly got a lot less tranquilo.
