All Elite Wrestling’s Kyle Fletcher recently opened up about the severity of his leg injury.
Kyle Fletcher suffered a serious leg injury during the March 28 episode of AEW Collision. While the issue was initially believed to be only a torn meniscus, The Protostar later revealed the injury was far more severe.
Appearing in a new vlog on his YouTube channel, Kyle Fletcher revealed that he actually suffered a torn meniscus, a fractured ankle, and a fractured tibia. He was also initially told there was a 90% chance he would require surgery, but thankfully, he was able to avoid it.
“We got the news. We are truly f***ed. Had a look at the MRIs, and we have a torn meniscus, a fracture at the top of my tibia, and a fracture in my ankle. Recovery-wise, fractures heal on their own. Meniscus, probably surgery. I got told there was a 90% chance of surgery,” Fletcher said.
“The plan is to fly down to Jacksonville on Sunday night and meet with the surgeon on Monday afternoon. Firstly, we find out if I need surgery and then hopefully schedule in that surgery. I am still processing a lot of my emotions. I’m feeling pretty positive. It could have been a lot worse, so I am grateful for that.”
Kyle Fletcher made his return at AEW Double or Nothing. The former TNT Champion appeared following the match between Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita for the International Championship. Fletcher initially congratulated Takeshita before turning heel against the first member of The Don Callis Family.
