Kyle Fletcher is almost unrecognizable in this look amid an injury hiatus from All Elite Wrestling.
Former TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher shocked the world with his surprise appearance at AEW Double or Nothing. The Protostar showed up following Konosuke Takeshita’s victory over Kazuchika Okada in an incredible match for the International Championship.
Fletcher hugged Takeshita and handed him the title before turning heel against The Alpha. A brainbuster soon followed before Fletcher capped off the assault by striking Takeshita with the championship belt.
AEW fans hadn’t seen Kyle Fletcher in almost two months prior to his surprise return at Double or Nothing. The Protostar suffered a meniscus injury during a tag team match on the March 28 episode of AEW Collision.
Not only did the injury put Fletcher on the shelf, but he was also forced to relinquish the TNT Championship. Kevin Knight ultimately won the vacant title and has since successfully defended it on weekly television.
Kyle Fletcher shows off different look in new vlog
Kyle Fletcher recently posted a new vlog to his YouTube channel. The video documents his injury break from AEW in the lead-up to Double or Nothing. It also features his return to the promotion at the May 24 pay-per-view event.
Perhaps the most significant part of the video is Fletcher growing out his hair and beard during his injury absence. Fans have seen him with hair before, but it may be the first time many have seen him with facial hair. The segment where Fletcher appears with hair and a beard while talking directly to the camera begins around the 29:00 mark of the vlog.
For those unaware, Fletcher had a full head of hair when he debuted in All Elite Wrestling. He even dyed his hair white during his first heel turn against Will Ospreay nearly a year ago before shaving his head bald to reveal the look fans are more familiar with today on wrestling television.
