Jeff Jarrett Says Chad Gable Should Be Prepared To Leave WWE

Jeff Jarrett believes Chad Gable should prepare himself to leave WWE.

After losing the highly praised mask vs. mask match against El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) at AAA Noche de Los Grandes this past Saturday, WWE’s Chad Gable lost his identity as the Original El Grande Americano. Despite the loss, his performance gained him immense praise.

Speaking on his My World podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett shared what advice he’d give him. Being 40 with one year left in his contract, Jarrett believes Chad Gable is not going to become a top guy in the promotion.

“He’s going to be on RAW and/or SmackDown. Those are the biggest rights holders, revenue drivers. They’re not going to have the discipline, and maybe it’s philosophical, but they’re going to get a run. But the reality is, back in 2018, 17, 19, Chad was doing videos, he was sending them to the writing rooms, he was being aggressive on character development, his matches were absolutely awesome,” Jeff Jarrett began.

“At the end of the day, I just don’t see the WWE because he worked under the Vince regime, and obviously now, he’s worked under the Triple H regime. They’re not all of a sudden magically gonna go, “Oh yeah, he’s our guy.’ So, to me, and I don’t know what his real dollar value is right now, but we kind of know where it’s headed with TKO across the board,” Jeff Jarrett continued.

Speaking further, Jeff Jarrett noted that Chad Gable should keep on doing what he’s doing, but be prepared to leave when his contract is up. He doesn’t see WWE and TKO giving him a big opportunity in the future.

“To me, I would absolutely leverage, and New Japan’s having new owners, but that’s gonna have a WWE influence as well. At the end of the day, I think timing is going to be so important because if he’s got a year left, that’s a lot of Mondays and Fridays and premium live events to go,” he continued.

“Chad lost his match. I think they said something to the effect that he got a big babyface reaction. So he’s going to have a little bit of a run, but we understand that they’ve got Triplemania coming up and they’ve got their tent poles every year. But I just think he needs to keep doing what he’s doing but be ready to leave,” Jeff Jarrett said.

“I just don’t see TKO coming to him and saying, ‘Hey man, you performed great in Monterrey. We’re going to give you a bump.’ I just don’t see that. I think he could monetize his talent more. But we’ll see. That’s a tough question to ask a year out in this set of circumstances,” Jeff Jarrett concluded.
