WWE Star Spills Drink During Shotgun Attempt on NXT

The June 16 episode of WWE NXT featured a light-hearted moment before the action even got underway. Thea Hail’s entrance took an unexpected turn ahead of her Women’s Speed Championship Tournament match.

The energetic NXT star attempted to shotgun a drink on her way to the ring. However, things didn’t quite go according to plan.

The moment quickly caught fans’ attention and added an extra layer of personality to Hail’s appearance before she stepped between the ropes.

While she was clearly looking for a boost of momentum, the drink ended up going almost everywhere except where it was intended.

Thea Hail’s entrance mishap comes before tough NXT defeat

Hail entered the arena first for a WWE Women’s Speed Championship Tournament first-round contest against Izzi Dame. As she made her way down the ramp, she attempted to shotgun a drink during her entrance but accidentally spilled it instead.

Despite the brief comedy spot, Hail quickly shifted her focus to the task at hand. Once the bell rang, she wasted no time taking the fight to Dame in a match contested under WWE Speed rules, which featured a strict three-minute time limit.

The bout was fast-paced from the opening seconds. Hail scored several near-falls and repeatedly targeted Dame’s arm with submission attempts, including a Kimura Lock and Fujiwara armbar. She also connected with a blockbuster and a headbutt as the clock ticked down.

However, Dame weathered the storm. After avoiding Hail’s springboard senton attempt in the final minute, The Culling member capitalized with a flying knee strike, securing the pinfall victory and advancing in the tournament.

For Hail, the night started with a splash — just not the kind she planned. While the shotgun attempt may have fizzled out, her trademark energy remained intact throughout the match.

Dame now moves forward in the Women’s Speed Championship Tournament, while Hail’s memorable entrance moment is likely to be one of the lighter highlights from this week’s NXT broadcast.
