Tessa Blanchard is on her way out of TNA Wrestling after the company granted her request to leave.
According to a new report from Fightful (via Fightful Select), sources close to Tessa Blanchard claim that she has left TNA. It was noted that while Blanchard had her request for her release granted by TNA, no reason for her exit was given.
TNA has not responded to Fightful’s request for comment. Despite her apparent departure, Blanchard will continue to work for CMLL in Mexico.
Last week, F4WOnline.com’s Dave Meltzer reported that TNA officials were not happy with Blanchard continuing to wrestle for CMLL. Meltzer also claimed that TNA did not want any of its talent working for CMLL, which Blanchard has been doing since October 2025. Despite this claim, it remains unconfirmed whether this story and Blanchard’s TNA exit are directly connected.
Tessa Blanchard returned to TNA after a lengthy absence
Tessa Blanchard returned to TNA in December 2024 for her second run with the promotion. This stint was highlighted by feuds against Indi Hartwell and ringside interviewer Gia Miller. However, she also faced more controversy stemming from her initial run with the company.
Upon returning, Blanchard was met with “she’s a racist” chants from fans. This referenced the 2020 allegations that she spat in a black wrestler’s face and called her the n-word during a tour in Japan. At the time, several other wrestlers came forward to corroborate the story, including Allysin Kay, Chelsea Green, La Rosa Negra, and Isla Dawn.
Blanchard has denied the allegations since they first became public, and recently said that she “never” has been racist.
“I’m not perfect,” Blanchard wrote in a December 2025 Twitter/X post. “Made plenty of mistakes in my life. Racism is not one of them, nor has that ever been in my heart. An incident from 10 years ago has continuously been twisted into something that race had absolutely nothing to do with because of the social climate. I’m tired of being used as clickbait. Move on.”
Blanchard’s last match for TNA was a win over Harley Hudson on May 28. She last wrestled for CMLL on June 14.
