Recently, there have been a lot of rumors circulating on the Internet regarding Ring of Honor’s future. The company hasn’t been booking return dates in certain markets and many fans have immediately started thinking the worst. In addition, ROH President Cary Silken posted the following on his Facebook page: "Keep an eye on the main site something interesting to go down." PWInsider.com reports that the company is NOT closing down and no former booker is returning to the company in any fashion. The following is what else we know:
– A meeting with the whole roster is scheduled for this Saturday before their live event in Chicago Ridge, IL. The meeting is to discuss the company’s future plans.
– The higher-up’s in the company have been very quiet about the plans for Ring of Honor and its future.
– There has been a lot of chatter among the wrestlers about a new investor and/or TV partner coming into the mix, but that has not been confirmed or proven to be the case at this point.
Saturday will reveal the truth and while fans are excited to hear what’s in store for the company, the wrestlers within the company are as well. We’ll let you know what transpires this weekend as soon as the information becomes available.
