Tom Brady may be done with football, but he hasn’t closed the door on trying something new. The seven-time Super Bowl champion has now publicly said he wants a WWE match and even called on WWE President Nick Khan to make it happen.
Brady shared his thoughts while appearing with Cody Rhodes on the live What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast at Fanatics Fest in New York City. Although he didn’t appear at WrestleMania 42 despite earlier rumors, his latest comments show his desire to step into a WWE ring.
Tom Brady wants Nick Khan to book his WWE debut
Brady joked that the only thing stopping him from wrestling is getting an invitation from WWE. He said he has been waiting for Nick Khan to come up with a storyline for him.
“I need to get an invite, I mean, I’ve been waiting for like Nick Khan to come up with some storyline for me to get in the mix. I feel like I’m retired from football; I have the opportunity to go out there and still showcase that I’m a little bit of an athlete. My boy Gronk’s done it. I’ve seen obviously Logan Paul do it. I think I could get in there for at least one match, right? Come on, Nick. Come on, make it happen,” Brady said.
Rhodes then told Brady that the opportunity is there, saying “the invite is certainly open.”
When Rhodes asked if he would rather be a babyface or a heel, Brady didn’t even have to think about it.
“It’s such an easy choice. I’m a bad guy. I’ve always been a bad guy,” Brady stated.
Earlier this year, the NFL legend traded some shots with Logan Paul, leading many fans to think he might show up at WrestleMania. That never happened, but Brady has now made it clear that he really is interested in wrestling.
