WWE RAW Results (12/27) – Punk Responds, Joins Nexus!

The Miz comes out and says everyone is intimidated by him, and he is the must see WWE Champion. He says he knows they all think he is the best brawler and fighter, but nobody compares to him in the WWE, and he asks if they understand him. He says no one holds a candle to him, and tells the fans to shut up when they start chanting "What" at him. He says he is going to destroy Lawler tonight, and it is in honor of the "What" people, because he’s the Miz and he’s awesome.

The Miz vs Jerry "The King" Lawler

Miz taunts Lawler a bit until Lawler gets a hold of him, then clotheslines him and and hits him with a forearm until Miz ducks under the ropes. They face off again and Miz kicks Lawler then shoves his head on the mat and taunts him more before punching him and choking him on the ropes. Miz puts him in a rear headlock then slams Lawler’s head on the mat when he tries to fight out. Lawler punches back but Miz keeps him down by kicking him in the chest then slams him head on the turnbuckle, and Lawler is having trouble standing. Riley hits Lawler behind the ref’s back and Miz lines up to hit a running clothesline, and John Morrison’s music hits and he distracts Miz long enough for Lawler to move out of the way. He punches away at Miz then hits multiple dropkicks for a two count, then avoids Miz again and sends him onto the apron in front of Morrison.

Miz drops Lawler’s neck across the rope and tries going up top, but Lawler recovers and kicks Miz off the top, and Miz hits his head on the steel steps on the way down. Riley tries to get involved while the ref counts, and Morrison uses this to chance to kick Miz in the head. The ref continues the count and Miz is still out and King picks up the win and Miz can’t believe it as he walks up the ramp.

Winner (by Countout) – Jerry "The King" Lawler

Punk goes up to Sheamus and says hail the king, then talks about how Sheamus earned his title but John Cena goes out of his way to make fun of him. He wants Sheamus to pay special attention because he is doing all of this for everyone who Cena has wronged. Punk wishes him luck against Orton, but Sheamus tells him he should know that he doesn’t need luck and walks off.
