Very Detailed Recap Of Hogan On The Howard Stern Show

…continued from page three

Howard read some details about how Hulk was fired by Vince McMahon Sr. when he got the role in Rocky 3. Hulk said that Vince’s dad was the best and the Rocky movie was shot in 79 or 80 (actually 1981) and the wrestling mindset wasn’t the same back then. He said you had to be loyal to the sport and you denied it being fake and all of that. He said they never had anyone do the media crossover back then. Hulk said it matters now but back then it was different.

Hulk said that he was promised to another wrestling thing and then he got the call from Sylvester Stallone to do that movie. He said that he was told that if he did the movie he would never work there again and that’s the choice he had to make.

Howard asked Hulk about the way Vince Sr. must have felt threatened by the movie thing. Hulk said it wasn’t like that. He said that no one had ever done that before so it was all new to them.

Howard asked if he’s seen Linda lately. Hulk said he just saw her at a deposition. He said that he didn’t hug her or anything. He said she was at the end of the table and she looked tired. Hulk said he just wanted to get out of that deposition so he could fly to New York.

Howard said Hulk has said a lot and he gave him a plug for his book ”My Life Outside the Ring” and said he thinks that the book will do well. Howard said he wishes him luck with all of that. Howard said he hopes he never ends up in that low place again.

Howard said he had a 9 year old kid there to meet him. It was Ronnie the security guard’s grandson Brian.  Hulk told Brian that he can do anything in his life that he wants. He said that’s what he discovered in his life. He told him to keep taking his vitamins and keep going to school and he’d be fine. Howard said that Brian’s dad was in there too and Howard said that’s the guy who really wants to sit on his lap. Howard wrapped up and went to break a short time later.
