Backstage: MVP & Kofi Kingston Argue

Backstage, Josh Mathews is with U.S. champion MVP and number one contender Kofi Kingston. MVP says Kingston earned his shot and that impressed him. Kingston says he was impressed with MVP standing up to Randy Orton. Mathews says the WWE Universe wants to know who is going to win the title match tonight. They both claim they will. They start to argue about who will win. Kingston mocks MVP for taking Sherri Shephard of The View to the prom. They get face-to-face as the segment ends.

United States Title:

-Kofi Kingston vs. MVP (c)

Kingston is out first for the U.S. title match. The champion MVP is out next with his belt worn around his waist. Pyro following behind MVP as he walks to the ring. Bell sounds, match underway. Early lock up between Kofi and MVP. MVP throwing Kofi off the ropes. Kingston gets in MVP’s face and says "I was this close" to pinning MVP as we go to commercial. MVP has Kingston in a submission as we come back from commercial. Kingston whipped MVP into the corner. Kingston kicks out on MVP’s two count. Then again with another two count instantanily. MVP superplexed Kingston off the top rope, but once again only gets a two count. Continously reversing pin exchanges with no completion. MVP goes for the play maker, Kingston reverses tries his trouble in paradise kicks, then MVP tries to roll him up, Kingston reverses, getting the pin.

Winner and NEW United States Champion: Kofi Kingston

After the Match: MVP Gives Kingston The Title

Out of respect, MVP hands Kofi Kingston the championship belt.

Backstage: Randy Orton and Ted DiBiase



We go back stage to see Ted DiBiase talking to Randy Orton about his parking lot fight with Ric Flair tonight. "This is a fight to the finish in a parking lot. Randy, anything can happen," say DiBiase, "Flair is capable of anything. You have everything to lose and nothing to gain." Orton tells DiBiase tonight is just a taste of what Batista is going to get on Sunday.

Vickie Guerrero vs. Santino

Vickie comes out with two slop buckets. We go to commercial. Coming back from commercial Vickie Guerrero is waving like Miss America from the ring as Santino’s music sounds. Santino walks up to Vickie’s slop buckets, with a disgusted look on his face. Santino is in the ring with Vickie as the crowd chants. Santino picks up one of the slop buckets taunting Vickie. Santino turns around splashing the slop on William Regel and Matt Hardy as they were jumping in the ring. Regel and Hardy begin to attack Santino. Regel holding Santino so Matt Hardy could hit him with his cast, attempting to knock him out. Vickie Guerrero standing inside the corner of the ring watching, smiling, then laughing. Vickie picks up the second slop bucket as Regel and Hardy leave. Santino still laying on the ground, Vickie pours the slop on Santino’s nuts and makes pig noises in Santino’s face. Following up by slowly pouring the slop on Santino’s face. Vickie puts her foot on Santino’s chest and does her Miss America wave.

Winner: No Contest
