WWE RAW is in Birmingham, Alabama tonight in a show being promoted as the first WWE event in Birmingham in two years.
The only confirmed match for WWE RAW tonight thus far is MVP vs. Kofi Kingston for MVP’s United States championship.
Jim Ross revealed in a blog earlier today that the "WWE Superstars" match that is being taped tonight will be Jeff Hardy & R-Truth vs. Chris Jericho & Dolph Ziggler. That will be the main event this Thursday on WGN.
Jeff Hardy revealed on his Twitter account that he would be working tonight despite being given the night off. The Superstars match could have easily been taped on Tuesday, when Hardy would be back in action for the SmackDown! tapings. Does this mean Hardy and/or Jericho and others are going to appear on RAW tonight? We’ll find out.
Also note tonight’s RAW is the final show before this Sunday’s "Extreme Rules" pay-per view, so you can expect a lot of the storylines to come to a head tonight, leading us into the PPV this weekend.
UPDATE (4:58PM ET):
Another match has been added to tonight’s RAW. It will be Randy Orton choosing either Cody Rhodes or Ted DiBiase from Legacy to face Batista in a steel cage match tonight.
UPDATE: (5:15PM ET):
Two more matches have been confirmed for RAW tonight. We’ll see John Cena and a partner of his choosing against The Miz & Big Show in tag-team action and Mickie James & Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix & Maryse in Diva-tag action.
