Debra began her wrestling career in 1996 when she debuted with WCW. She came into the company with her then husband Steve “Mongo” McMichael, who she had been married to since 1985. She only worked in WCW for one year, and later made her WWF debut in 1998 after ending her marriage to McMichael. While she was in WWF, she married Stone Cold Steve Austin in 2000, and had her name legally changed to Debra Williams. In 2002, Debra called the police to the home of her and Austin and accused the former WWE Champion of domestic abuse. Austin was later arrested on those charges and was given a year’s worth of probation, a $1,000 fine, and ordered to carry out eighty hours of community service. Debra left WWE in 2002 when Stone Cold walked out of the company and she went with him. She has not appeared on WWE TV since then.
