The Georgia Athletic & Entertainment Commission (GAEC) met on Tuesday 12/9/08, their last meeting for 2008.
Georgia Wrestling promoters were notified ion advance by Executive Director, Andy Foster, that wrestling rwegulation was not going to be on the agenda for the meeting, and confirmed after the meeting that it was not discussed nor voted.
Wrestling Regulation was initiallyproposed by the Commission in November 2007. Those rules were tabled while an effort was made to change the current law, which failed.
Executive Director Kelly Farr, who had pushed hard for regulation was replaced by Andy Foster, who has a MMA background. He believe the GAEC should focus on MMA & Boxing, real sports, and not professional wrestling, an entertainment form.
