Tickets are $10, or $5 for students. Children 10 and under get in free. Advertised: In the main event â#1❠George South takes on âMr. Elite❠Jake Manning in a Texas Death Match. In a special second main event Coach Greg Davidson makes his wrestling debut against the Masked Destroyer. In a title vs. title match EWA Missouri Heavyweight Champion Ricky Steamboat, Jr. battles EWA Georgia Heavyweight Champion âBeautiful❠Bobby Eaton. EWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion George South, Jr. defends against Charlie Dreamer.

The United Wrestling Association will be at Seymour Hardware & Building Supply in Seymour, TN, tonight.

GWH wishes a happy birthday to Johnny Valiant (1946) and Kirby Mack (1983).

!BANG! presented “Thanksgiving Massacre” on November 23 at the Funking Conservatory in Ocala, FL. Results: In the world championship match, Blain Rage defeated Elvis Sharp to retain. Johnny Magnum defeated Shane Chung by DQ to retain the US championship. “The Claw” Claudia Reiff defeated Lexie Fyfe to retain the women’s championship. HC Loc defeated Nick Paradise in a tough man contest. Damien Steele defeated Hack Meyers to become the new Premium BANG champion. Hack Meyers defeated Johnny Romano.

Savannah Valley Wrestling had their Toys for Tots drive event at the Graybell Auction in Danielsville, GA, on November 22. Results: Ballenger defeated Spectra. Kevin Blue defeated Jake Sanders. Hotstuff AM & Enigma defeated Old School. Kid Cassanova defeated J.D. Jackson. Shane Bell & Jason Blackman defeated James Boulevard & Dale Dwindle.

SVW presents “Santa’s Slay” at the Graybell Auction in Danielsville, GA, on December 13. Matches advertised: In a Valley Massacre Match, Team Adam Bell vs. Team Shane Bell. In a match for the AWA Lightweight championship, Krazy K defends vs. Ballenger. In a hardcore match, Jackill vs. Bam Bam Bradshaw. In a match for the SVW tag team championship, Old School defends vs. Hotstuff AM & a mystery partner. Bell time is at 7:30. Tickets are $10 for adults, and kids under 13 get in for free.

Southern Championship Wrestling will be at the National Guard Armory in Oxford, AL, on November 28 for “Turkey Bash 2008”. Matches advertised: In a no time limit Alabama street fight, “Wildfire” Tommy Rich vs. The Beast. Also scheduled are “Action” Mike Jackson, The Ultimate Dragon, Sal Rinauro, and Ace Rockwell. The All Pro Wrestling Alliance will be at the Petros-Joyner Middle School In Petros, TN, on November 28. Bell time is 8:00 PM. Directions can be found at the APWA site. Matches will be taped for broadcast in the Knoxville, TN, area, which can be seen on Saturdays at 11 AM on MyVLT2.

The Peachstate Wrestling Alliance will be at the Recreation Center in Bremen, GA, on November 29. Advertised: In a loser leaves the promotion match, “Action” Mike Jackson vs. Dany Only. “Wildfire” Tommy Rich vs. The Lethal Luchadore. The Ultimate Dragon vs. J-Rod. The One Man Cru vs. “The Hillbilly Giant” Cousin Curtis.

Southern States Championship Wrestling will be at the Berrien Primary School Gym in Nashville, GA, on December 6. Advertised: For the heavyweight championship, Jarrod Michaels defends vs. J.T. Taylor. For the Southern Heritage championship, “Playboy” John Johnson defends vs. Logan Stevens. “Hardcore” Brooks Rogers vs. the Unknown Soldier. Kelly Foxx vs. an opponent of Samantha Steel’s choosing. Tickets are $5. Bell time is at 7:30. This is a fundraiser for the school to purchase new playground equipment.

NOVEMBER 25, 1949 (FRIDAY) â” ATLANTA, GA â” ATLANTA MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM (Paul Jones â” Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Tiny Oxford defeated Joe Kirkland by disqualification > Nick Carter and Ralph Garibaldi wrestled to a draw > Al Massey defeated Gene Bowman > Southern Heavyweight Title Match: Dan OâConnor defeated Don McIntyre* to win title > NWA World Heavyweight Title Match: Lou Thesz* defeated Hans Kaempfer / Notes: Don McIntyre had been the reigning Southern Heavyweight Champion since he defeated the Black Menace on September 23, 1949, in Atlanta. Lou Thesz had been the reigning NWA World Heavyweight Champion since he defeated Bill Longson in Indianapolis, IN, on July 20, 1948. This version was the one recognized by the National Boxing Association as the National Wrestling Association. This was the original date that had been set for a title unification match between Thesz and the National Wrestling Alliance World Heavyweight Champion Orville Brown, to take place in St. Louis, MO. However, Brown was injured in an automobile accident on November 1, 1949, and the match had to be cancelled.

It was reported that this would be the first of a series of weekly cards at this location.

NOVEMBER 25, 1955 (FRIDAY) â” ATLANTA, GA â” ATLANTA MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM (Paul Jones â” Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Andre Drapp & Tex Riley defeated Whitey Whittler & El Toro by disqualification > Womenâs Match: Barbara Baker defeated Belle Starr > Southern Heavyweight Title Match: Freddie Blassie defeated Red McIntyre* to win title / Notes: During the match between Andre Drapp & Tex Riley and Whitey Whittler & El Toro, Drapp removed Toroâs mask to identify him as Bibber McCoy. This had been done earlier in the year, and presumably everyone remembered McCoy was under the mask. Red McIntyre had been the reigning Southern Heavyweight Champion since he defeated Freddie Blassie on October 28, 1955, in Atlanta.

NOVEMBER 25, 1960 (FRIDAY) â” ATLANTA, GA â” ATLANTA MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM (Paul Jones â” Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Roy Nelson versus Danny Miller > Womenâs Southern Title Match: Penny Banner* versus Barbara Baker > Cyclone Tag Team Match: Tiny Evans & Chief Little Eagle defeated Freddie Blassie & Johnny Weaver / Notes: Aside from the match between Tiny Evans & Chief Little Eagle and Freddie Blassie & Johnny Weaver, of which Ed Capral was the special referee, no documented results for the remaining matches on this card have been found. Reginald Gable managed Roy Nelson. It is unclear as to how Penny Banner came to be recognized as Womenâs Southern Champion. The last reference we have shows Gloria Barratini and Mae Young wrestling for the title on April 8, 1960, in Atlanta, though it is unclear which of them may have been recognized as champion at that time. Banner has claimed this match with Baker never took place.

Charlie Harben and Leo Garibaldi were credited as being referees on this card. The Torres brothers had vowed to leave if they lost the match, and the Raiders had vowed to unmask if they lost. The Torresâ had been the reigning Southern Tag Team Champions since they defeated Louie Tillet & Butcher Vachon on November 9, 1966, in Columbus.
