On a recent episode of WWE 24/7’s “Legends Of Wrestling” round table discussion, Ric Flair was on the panel along with Mick Foley, Gene Okerlund, Tazz, and Jim Ross. Ric Flair made some rather harsh comments towards TNA and some of it’s talent.
Flair’s stated working for Vince Russo in WCW “was the most disorganized & disabled wrestling company alive.”
The discussion eventually switched gears to the the Oklahoma character Ed Ferrara played in WCW, Flair said that he was embarrassed to be part of the company, however when it was all said and done, Jim Ross is in the Hall Of Fame and a top announcer while “they’re in the shit can. Nobody knows who they are and nobody cares. They work for TNA. What is TNA?”
What is ironic is he was sitting next to Mick Foley when making that comment. Due to the time period this was filmed, Mick Foley may or may not have had to bite his lip to not say anything back in defense.
Eventually, they started discussing the Madison Square Garden incident from 1996, Flair said that “Scott Hall’s claim of fame was being in the ring at Wrestlemania X when Shawn Michaels was wrestling a ladder.” Flair also commented that Kevin Nash, “had zero talent, he was in the right place at the right time. He had the look and the machine (WWE) got behind him but zero in the ring. ZERO!”
This episode can most likely still be seen on WWE 24/7.
