From Media Week: USA Network started the new year with a prime time ratings win, averaging 2.69 million total viewers in the first week of 2008, while taking first place with its delivery of adults 25-54 (1.22 million) and adults 18-49 (1.15 million). According to Nielsen Media Research data, on New Yearâs Eve USA served up its largest audience of the week, averaging 4.01 million viewers with hour two of its WWE Raw franchise (10 p.m.).
From Liam Jordan: Even though this has been out for many years, HMV UK are advertising Ultimate Insiders: Inside The WWF as a pre order item as a new release even though it obviously says WWF and the fact that this dvd is 3 years old at least A weird Pre Order.
Big Daddy V and Kelly Kelly fans rejoice, ECW will soon be broadcast in HD. It was announced on tonight’s broadcast that ECW will be broadcast in HD in two weeks. There actually is a high definition version of the Sci Fi Channel as it was launched this past October. It is available on DIRECTV and Comcast at least. The Sci Fi Channel already airs Stargate Atlantis and some other original programming in HD. Furthermore, seeing how ECW is soon going to be available HD, you’d have to think that an announcement for SmackDown in HD is coming this week, especially considering that ECW is taped on the same night as SmackDown and they’d already have the HD camera equipment on hand.
Monday night’s edition of Raw drew a 3.2 rating, it’s lowest rating in January in about 11 years.
