Newsday.com posted anarticle yesterday claiming that former WWE Heavyweight champion Chris Jericho was rumored to return at last nightâ<80><99>s SmackDown tapings in Long Island, NY. The article states:
Tonight promises to be a homecoming on two different fronts for Jericho. Not only will he be signing copies of his recently published memoirs, “A Lion’s Tale: Around the World in Spandex” at the Carle Place Barnes & Noble at 5 p.m., but he is rumored to be making his return to the ring after a two-year hiatus at the Nassau Coliseum for a taping of WWE’s “Smackdown!” program.
Of course Jericho did not return last night and it is still unknown if he was backstage or not. It appears that Vince is saving Jerichoâ<80><99>s return and it is being kept highly confidential.
