Cody says his face may still be disfigured, but he continues to be an inspriation and he has had many people around him that are jealous of him. He tried helping Ted DiBiase, but Ted liked who he was and Cody wasn't going to go down with him, so he dropped him. He dropped Ted and rose again with the Intercontinental Championship, and that is inspirational. Cody says Randy Orton called him unstable, but he says there's a fine line between unstable and thriving, so he will show Orton how unstable he can be.
Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton
Cody goes for a quick roll up then gets back up and locks up with Orton and goes for another small package and gets a two count. They face off again and Cody yells at the fans then Orton puts him in a side headlock then dropkicks him, and stomps on his stomch and snaps his leg back. Orton hits a Thesz press, then Cody uses his mask to knock Orton down with a headbutt, and Cody repeatedly kicks him in the head and shoulder. Orton tries droppoing a knee but he misses and injures his knee, and Cody begins to target that by kicking him, then whips him off the ropes and knees him. Orton counters and goes for a hanging DDT, but Cody shakes him off and hits a Beautiful Disaster that knocks Orton out of the ring.
Cody throws Orton back in the ring and slams his head off the turnbuckle then chokes him with his boot until the ref calls for a break. Orton gets to his feet and kicks Cody, then shoves him back but Cody grabs his arm and applies a submission hold. Orton punches him in the stomach and runs the ropes, but Cody meets him with a knee to the midsection and goes back to work on the arm with an armbar. Orton makes it back to his feet but Cody hits an Alabama Slam for two then sends him into the corner and goes for a bulldog but Orton throws him across the ring. Orton hits him with some clotheslines and a powerslam, then pulls him to the apron and hits a hanging DDT. He signals for the RKO and starts punching the mat, but Cody sees it coming and slides out of the ring. They get back in and Cody tries Cross Rhodes and misses, then tries hitting Orton with Beautiful Disaster again, but Orton ducks it and hits a RKO for the win.

Mark Henry comes down after the bell and has a stand off with Orton in the middle of the ring. Orton starts laying into him with rights and goes for a RKO, but Henry shoves him into the corner and clotheslines him. He picks Orton back up and nails him with the World's Strongest Slam, then gets him back up and slams him again. Henry goes outside for a chair and drags Orton towards it, then unfolds it and places it over Orton's throat. Henry sits down and tells him he could have broken his neck, but he wants the title and says he wants to make sure Orton makes their match as Smackdown comes to an end.
