The referee did throw up the “X” sign following Kurt Angle’s match, and he needed to be assisted to the back following the bout. As previously reported, Angle was injured heading into his match against Roode, and while the announce team put it over as a case of Angle training too hard for the bout, it is unknown whether or not it was a separate training-related injury.
