The LA Times recently published a story in their sports section, highlighting "WWE's Linda McMahon" and her failed race for the Connecticut Senate seat. The article says that McMahon has spent close to $97 million on both her senate races, which according to the Times is "the most that any candidate has ever spent from their own pocket to win federal office."
The article goes on to predict that McMahon will not seek election in 2014, as "it seems unlikely the Republican Party would throw its support behind someone who advised people to vote for Obama."
