WWE Live Event Results (6/9): Fayetteville, NC

Dolph ZigglerDolph Ziggler opened the show saying he wanted to Steal the Show, but his Doctor hadn't cleared him yet. He then went on to say that he would come back out later to watch his bodyguard & BFF Big E Langston beat Alberto Del Rio.

Tony Chimmel then informed us that we could choose whether Del Rio vs. Big E would be a 2 out of 3 Falls Match Or a No DQ match.

Match 1: The Uso's vs. Prime Time Players

The Uso's came out to a decent pop and beat the PTP's in about 10-12 mins. when either Jimmy or Jey did the Splash off the top rope. Quite a few Us-O chants during the Match.

Winners = The Uso's

Match 2 = Justin Gabriel vs. Hunico

Crowd tried to get into most matches during the night as a Justin chant was heard a few times during the match. It changed to "Jerky – Jerky" in our area once when the Beef Jerky guy came through. Gabriel won with a Lionsault at about the 10 min mark. No 450 splash on this night.

Winner = Justin Gabriel

As Tony Chimmel begins to speak, he is interrupted by Paul Heyman on the Videotron. Heyman talks up his newest client Curtis Axel and then makes fun of how to say the name of Fayetteville before finally using a Southern twang to say "he don't need me tonight yall, so I won't be in the Carolina's."

Match 3 = Curtis Axel vs. Sheamus

Axel came out to crickets, but was able to draw some heat after talking on the mic about how he was from great bloodlines, but is better than both his father & grandfather. Sheamus came out to a huge pop. This match went a good 20 mins. with Axel getting in a lot of Offense. Sheamus did hit Axel with Whitenoise, but missed with the Brogue kick. Axel bailed on the Brogue kick and headed up the aisle. Sheamus chased him down and the 2 fought some before Axel slung Sheamus into the steel post. Axel got back in the ring before the 10 count, but Sheamus couldn't. Winner by Countout was Curtis Axel.

Sheamus came back in the ring after the match and hit Axel with the Brogue kick.

Winner = Curtis Axel

Intermission

Match 4 = Layla & Alicia Fox vs. Aksana & AJ

Highlights of the match included double spankings of Aksana & AJ by Layla & Fox and Aksana & AJ arguing over tags. AJ finally pulled her hand back & left Aksana to be pinned by Fox. Lots of "AJ's Crazy" chants during this match. It became a dueling chant eventually of "AJ's Crazy…….. And she's Hot"

Winners = Layla & Fox

Match 5: Heath Slater vs. Alex Riley

Slater got some 3MB sucks chants from the crowd and A-Ry got a few chants, which was pretty good considering everyone was like "hey he still works here" when he came out. Pretty good back & forth match. Riley eventually won after about 12 mins. An older fellow was sitting behind me & my daughter and he hated how kids behind him were chanting during every match. He kept threatening to move and at one point when they were chanting A-Ry, he was chanting Shut-up. Kinda funny but also kinda sad.

Winner = Alex Riley

Match 6: The Great Khali vs. Jinder Mahal

Mahal got on the Mic and gave Khali a chance to leave so he wouldn't be embarrassed. He told Khali he could come be the 3MB's Roadie. Khali stayed and squashed Mahal in about 2 mins. Khali can barely move, but the fans seem to like the Big guy.

Winner = Khali

While the Punjabi Playboy stayed out to celebrate his victory, he was interrupted by Big E Langston. Langston was able to pick up Khali and hit him with his finisher. Now that was dang impressive to see him do that to Khali.

Match 7: Big E Langston w/ Dolph Ziggler & AJ Lee vs. Alberto Del Rio w/ Ricardo Rodriguez

Ricardo & Del Rio came out to good pops. I don't know who the crowd likes better.

Tony Chimmel informed us that this match would be a No DQ match.

Big E. used a lot of power moves and Del Rio got in quite a few kicks. I was happy to see a Kendo Stick used in this match by both competitors. Langston missed with a chair, but brought a table into the ring. When AJ & Dolph tried to enter the ring, the Referee sent both of them to the back. Del Rio was able to get his finisher applied to Big E, but Big E was able to pick him up like we've seen a couple of times on TV. However, this time Del Rio dropped to his feet and was able to spear Big E into the table that was set up in the corner. Del Rio then made the cover for the 3 count. Match went close to 20 mins. There was a lot of Si, Si, Si chants during this match.
