"The History of WWE" features a 2 hour documentary main feature on the 50 year tenure of the company. It's made up of 25 chapters including the likes of "Bruno Sammartino", "Hulkamania", "Steroid Trial", "Attitude Era" and "Tragedy in Kansas City". That's complimented with 10 full matches and a selection of moments, plus extra documentary type stories on the Blu-ray. There is a huge list of talent interviewed for the main feature, totaling about 60 different wrestling personalities! Much of this interview footage is brand new and stars include The Undertaker, Linda McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Jake Roberts, Roddy Piper and many others. Conspicuous by his absence in the interviews is Vince McMahon, but he is inevitably featured throughout the story to a large degree and appears in new footage at WWE Headquarters.
For the 3-disc DVD you are getting 2 hours of footage on the first disc (the documentary), 1 hour and 28 minutes of extras on the second disc, and 3 hours of extras on the third disc. If you opt for the Blu-ray, there's approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes worth of exclusive content on top of that. Below you can watch the official trailer for the DVD and a sneak peek preview clip.
