Raw Script Changed for Batista
According to PWInsider.com, the creative team made a list minute change to the script for WWE Raw tonight. The original plan was to have Daniel Bryan face Batista, but given all the reports that state Batista did not want to lose to the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at WWE Payback later this month, and that he was frustrated with the financial state of his deal with the company, the match was changed to Bryan vs. Alberto del Rio at the last minute.
Top Stars Miss Raw Tonight
Top WWE Superstars took the night off following last night's Extreme Rules pay-per-view. John Cena did not make an appearance after losing to Bray Wyatt in a steel cage match this weekend. As we reported earlier tonight, Cena was confirmed to appear on this week's WWE Main Event to address his loss to the Wyatt Family. WWE Divas Champion Paige, who defended her title against Tamina Snuka on PPV Sunday night, was also missing in action from Raw.
