The Ascension vs. Buddy Murphy & Elias Samson
Connor beats down Buddy for about two minutes, then Viktor comes in and they hit the hi-low Fall of Man finisher for the easy win. Total squash. "This is Awesome" chants from the crowd, who is apparently ridiculously easy to please.
Winner: The Ascension
-They get on the mic after the match and say they've beaten everyone in the NXT Universe, and want some real competition. El Local and Calisto come out and issue a challenge. Calisto gets the crowd to chant "Lucha" and Ricardo Rodriguez El Local tells them to "catch us if you can."
KILLAM: They keep putting these guys over as the longest reigning champions in NXT history, which is hilarious. While true, they've had virtually zero competition and the titles haven't even existed all that long. The only guy pointing that out is William Regal – god bless that man – and it's getting a bit silly. I'm not sure Ricardo is "real competition", but Kalisto is new and fresh, so this is the best thing we've had out of the tag division all year long.
