NXT Championship Match

Adrian Neville (c) vs. Tyson Kidd

Natalya is ringside for the match. They lock up as the fans start at Yoshi Tatsu chant – had it not been for this being recorded weeks ago, it would have been hilarious, as he was just released. Tyson shows an aggresive side and starts pounding away on the champion, but Neville dumps him to the floor and gets a diving senton over the ropes. After a brief commercial break, Tyson has a side headlock on Neville, which he transitions into a sleeper, back into a headlock, and then into a reverse headlock. He rolls through and hits a dropkick for a two-count. They brawl to the top turnbuckle and Neville hangs on to the ropes, coming off the second with a missile dropkick. the champ kips up to his feet and hits a running clothesline, followed by a Northern Lights suplex for two. They begin to trade kicks – Tyson wins and hangs the champion in the ropes, leaping off the top rope and senton splashing him to the mat. Tyson makes the cover, but on 2.99 Neville gets his foot on the bottom rope. Kidd freaks out as Natalya was the one to tell the referee that Neville had his foot on the ropes. He locks in the Sharpshooter, but Neville pulls himself to the bottom rope. Tyson asks what he has to do to end this match (hit your finisher!), but runs into a huge step-up kick from the champion. Kidd rebounds off the top rope with an incredible snap neckbreaker; two-count. He springboards off the top rope with an elbow drop; two-count. Tyson grabs a steel chair, but Natalya takes it away from him. Superkick from Adrian Neville, followed by the Red Arrow for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Adrian Neville

KILLAM: That was a great match with some great story-telling. I know I just got done saying I don't appreciatate the drama between Tyson and Nattie, but they made me care during this match, and especially with the finish. It'll be interesting to see where they go with this. Knowing they're actually married – and using it as a part of their other TV show – it's stupid to tease a divorce angle. Doesn't mean they won't do it.
