8/21 WWE NXT Results: Triple H Makes Rare Appearance, Tag Team Tournament Semi-Finals, Charlotte in Action

Triple H comes out and announces NXT Takeover 2 for September 11th. Yes, we already know about this, but it’s just now officially airing for the first time. All three of the titles will be on the line. He announces a new general manager, who will be on the show “live” next week, and says if we love NXT on the WWE Network, we haven’t seen anything yet.

Backstage, Tyler Breeze says he worked hard to become the #1 contender, but Tyson Kidd ruined his chance at becoming the most pretty NXT Champion in history. He says that doesn’t sit well for him, and Tyson will find out what that means later on tonight.

 Tyler Breeze vs. Tyson Kidd

They have a staredown leading to the opening bell, and Breeze stars wailing on him with rapid rights and lefts. Tyson rebounds with a flurry of his own. Kidd with a nice vertical suplex, rolling into neckbreaker. He follows that up with a dropkick and looks for the Sharpshooter as the fans chant “Tyson Chicken”. Breeze rolls out of the ring and says “I don’t need this”, then intentionally takes the count-out loss.

Winner: Tyson Kidd

After the match, Tyson celebrates his “victory” a little bit too much. He puts on Prince Pretty’s fur coat and poses in the ring with it.
