9/4 WWE NXT Results: Neville, Kidd, Breeze and Zayn Prove Themselves Before Next Week’s Championship Match

Adrian Neville is last to speak tonight. He says he’s in a huge battle at a huge disadvantage, but puts over that he’s beaten all three of his opponents individually. He says he took the match because he likes to be challenged, and is looking forward to walking out of NXT Takeover 2 as the NXT Champion.

(5) Adrian Neville def. CJ Parker. About the same length as the other matches tonight, but not bad. Neville wins with the Red Arrow to close out the show.

KILLAM: There are three matches at the two-hour special that matter, and this episode did a great job covering all of them. Kalisto and Sin Cara got screen time, which is all they really needed, and Bayley got to stand tall going into her first ever title match next week. But the highlight of the show was obviously the four individual matches, giving all four NXT Championship opponents big victories and a lot of momentum. They wanted you to think everyone had an equal chance of walking out champion, and I do honestly believe that at this point. Solid show in its own right, but more importantly it sold a very crucial two-hour special next week that WWE management will be watching with a close eye.
