WWE Smackdown Results
October 3rd 2014
Report by Bill Pritchard for Wrestlezone.com

John Cena comes out and says he wanted a fight with Seth Rollins, but he ended up in one with Dean Ambrose instead. He says they forgot the Authority works as a family, and he is being driven right now because Rollins took something away from him. Cena says Brock Lesnar destroyed him at Summerslam, and he came back and stood toe-to-toe with Lesnar at Night of Champions, and he had him beat. He says Rollins took that away from him, and Rollins calls himself the future, so he’s giving Rollins a chance to prove it tonight. Ambrose cuts him off and says he doesn’t want to upset him, but he’s going to get to Rollins first, and he will make him pay. Cena says he doesn’t want to do this with him, but Ambrose says Cena should back off because fighting Rollins is his thing, and he could’ve had things handled on Monday.

Cena reiterates the fact that Rollins took something from him, then he says they should stop fighting each other so the Authority doesn’t beat them again, and call a truce. Ambrose goes to shake hands but The Authority cuts them off, and Randy Orton and Kane egg the two of them on. Kane says Ambrose called Cena an ‘overhyped action figure’, and Orton says Cena said Ambrose was a self-destructive nutjob pretending to be crazy so he could get over. Kane says they are going to put their alliance to the test tonight and Ambrose and Cena will team up, then he asks Rollins if he has anything to say, but Rollins just stands there, seething while he clutches his briefcase.

Sheamus & Dolph Ziggler vs The Miz & Damien Sandow

Miz ducks a clothesline by Sheamus and punches him, but Sheamus comes back with a clothesline before Sandow gets in. Sheamus sends him to the apron and tries to hit Ten Beats, but Miz runs in so Sheamus backdrops him out to the floor. Sheamus tries to hit Sandow but Miz pulls him away, then Dolph tries to stop Miz from leaving and Sheamus tackles them as we go to a break. We get back to see Miz hit a breaker combo for two, then Sandow elbows Sheamus and hits him a few times, but Sheamus knocks him back down. Dolph splashes Miz off the tag and hits a neckbreaker, then he catches Sandow with a DDT but Miz breaks it up. Sheamus tackles him out to the floor, then Dolph dropkicks Sandow as Miz hits Sheamus with a chair. Dolph kicks him as he gets back up on the apron, then he turns and hits Sandow with a Zig Zag for the win.

Winners – Sheamus & Dolph Ziggler
