Maxine Reveals Which WWE Diva Stole Her Character & Story, Footage of WWE Try-Out Match at National Wrestling Hall of Fame (Video)

Former developmental WWE Diva Maxine (aka Karlee Perez) recently did an interview with Headlocks2Headlines.com, and revealed that she was the brain behind Aksana’s character, when the Diva was brought up to Smackdown and attempted to seduce then-general manager Teddy Long. 

During her time in FCW, Maxine wrote the idea for her character – who at the time had the black hair and leather look – and pitched it to officials. She stated the next day, Aksana had dyed her hair black, and was moved up to Smackdown to begin the story that she created. Adding insult to injury, Maxine was then asked to help Aksana with her promos, and developing the persona. You can check out a clip from the interview below: 

 

New WWE Try-Out Video

Wrestlezone was sent in the following video, which features a WWE try-out match between independent wrestlers Devon Nicholson and Mark Sterling. The match was held at the National Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame event in Iowa, and the two were scouted by WWE Hall of Famers Jim Ross and Gerry Brisco. According to one source, Sterling was brought back, and was a part of the most recent try-out camp.
