WWE ran a house show last night in Richmond, VA at the same time as Monday Night Raw in Washington, D.C.
(1) Roman Reigns def. Kane. The match lasted about two minutes, and Kane fell to the Superman Punch. He didn’t waste a lot of time hanging out after the match, as he ended up appearing on Raw an hour or two later.
(2) Tyler Breeze, Titus O’Neil & Hornswoggle def. Los Matadores & El Torito. Really strange combination of guys. I suppose Tyler is…sort of like Heath Slater?
(3) Sin Cara def. Justin Gabriel. Sin Cara never brings the NXT tag title with him to live shows, which is disappointing.
(4) The New Day def. Goldust & Stardust. It was Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston in action here.
(5) Charlotte, Emma & Alicia Fox def. Sasha Banks, Cameron & Summer Rae in a 6-Divas tag team match. Santino was there for some reason, to introduce the match. Great to see Charlotte and Sasha both doing the tours now.
(6) Curtis Axel def. Adam Rose
(7) Dean Ambrose def. Bray Wyatt in a Street Fight. Great main event match with lots of tables spots, kendo sticks, etc. The standard no-DQ affair. Dean hung out with the fans at ringside after and signed some autographs to end the show.
A pretty good night overall. There were a lot of fun names, despite so much of the talent busy with Raw. I didn’t expect Roman to be there, even for a squash match, but the effort was definitely appreciated.
