“Feast or Fired” Returning to Impact
A “Feast or Fired” match was announced during tonight’s Impact Wrestling television taping event. The match, set to air on the January 23rd episode, traditionally features four briefcases hanging from poles around the ring. Three of the briefcases contain championship opportunities, similar to WWE’s Money in the Bank concept, while one unlucky wrestler will open a case with a pink slip, which terminates his/her TNA contract.
Bobby Lashley in MVP’s Faction?
In an angle taped for the January 16th edition of Impact Wrestling, TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley will reveal that he is in fact NOT a part of the newly formed faction being captained by MVP.
The group – which was dubbed “The Beatdown Clan” or “BDC” for short – later attacked Lashley, claiming that he became a champion by their hands, and thus the TNA world title actually belongs to them. Currently the BDC includes MVP, Kenny King, Eric Young, Samoa Joe and X-Division Champion Low Ki.
KILLAM: Lashley said in a recent interview that he loved the work the trio of himself, MVP and Kenny King were doing, and wanted to keep it going for as long as possible. It looks like the TNA writers have other plans, as he’ll likely be proceeding as a babyface following Impact Wrestling on 1/16.
