Daniel Bryan Talks To Newsday; Says He Thought Neck Injury Would Force Him To Retire, Treatment He Used To Make A ‘Miraculous’ Recovery, More

Daniel BryanWWE Superstar Daniel Bryan recently talked to Newsday‘s Josh Stewart as he was promoting his return to WWE for Smackdown and the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

Bryan discussed a number of topics, including his comeback from a severe neck injury, how he ended treating and rehabbing it, the fans being an important part of his career, and more. You can read a few excerpts below: 

Bryan on how serious his injury was:

“There was a point several months ago where it almost seemed like I wouldn’t be able to come back. This is what I’ve been doing, and this is what I’ve loved since I was 18 years old, and I don’t really know adult life without it.”

Bryan on how the fans propelled him into the Wrestlemania 30 main event: 

“I can tell you 100 percent for a fact that I was not supposed to be in the main event at WrestleMania 30. That is one of the coolest things about WWE and wrestling in general. The fans have this very unique voice, and this very unique power, and in no other sport and no other form of entertainment can the fans make their voices heard and it affect change.”
