-Backstage with Sami Zayn after his match with John Cena. He says his shoulder popped out 30 seconds into the match (it was actually about 30 seconds before the match), and he hasn’t had time to process anything yet. He says he has some physical and mental things to work out before Takeover, because if he goes in feeling injured he’s already lost. They’re still pushing ahead as if this match is still happening.
-Zayn comes out in street clothes. NXT Champ Kevin Owens is out next. Sami asks him, once and for all, why he did what he did. He says there’s an element of truth to him fighting for his family, but he knows there’s more to it than that, and demands an answer. Sami asks if its jealousy because he got to WWE first. He makes it personal, saying Kevin’s son would rather wear a Sami Zayn shirt to school than his own father’s. Owens gets emotional and leaves the ring, threatening to walk out. Kevin finally says everything Zayn said is irrelevant, because after he beat him months ago, he went home hurt and that he’s still hurt because of him. At Takeover he promises to do it again, except this time there will be no comeback.
