It’s being reported that the decision to bring back The Undertaker now, instead of waiting until WrestleMania as has become “tradition”, was made a few weeks ago.
The decision was made once Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar’s advocate, starting referencing the streak being broken after Lesnar had turned face, which didn’t make much storyline sense, but it would guarantee Heyman would get some boos. Going forward, the Taker/Lesnar match will somehow play a storyline part in one of next year’s Wrestlemania’s top matches.
Brock Lesnar versus Undertaker was announced and made officially this past Monday on WWE RAW, and they will face each other at the WWE Summerslam pay-per-view. For complete details on how the match came about, and the aftermath of the announcement, click here for full RAW coverage details.
