For those wondering, the reason the King of the Mountain Match main event from Slammiversary 2015 aired on last night’s Impact Wrestling was to add fill-in footage. The match filled in segments that featured The Beat Down Clan, which was removed due to Shawn Hernandez’s contract issues with Lucha Underground.

TNA also ran another Slammiversary match on the Destination America broadcast last week, featuring James Storm versus Magnus in an unsanctioned match. The Hernandez issue is likely the same reason for the airing, although this week it was noted on-air (storyline) that new authority figure Bully Ray was the reason the KOTM match aired.
