Several fans have sent in word that this week’s WWE Smackdown broadcast featured advertisements for an upcoming Toronto house show that features John Cena defending the United States title against Kevin Owens, and Seth Rollins defending the WWE title against Dean Ambrose.
While match cards and advertisements are always subject to change due to early production, the show in question is scheduled for September 25th, which is five days after the WWE Night of Champions pay-per-view. There is always a possibility Rollins, holder of the WWE WHC and United States titles, could defend both titles as rumored, and Cena could win back the US title he lost at Summerslam last week. Currently, the only match officially scheduled for WWE Night of Champions is Rollins defending his WWE title against the returning Sting.
As far as rest of the Toronto live event goes, WWE is advertising The Dudley Boyz for the September 25th show, as seen in the following Tweet:
