Is This The Worst Year For Wrestling Headlines? Caroline Collins On WZ’s Periscope, What Are Owens & Cesaro Fighting For?

Owens/Cesaro

kevin-owens-2Shane Shoemaker has a new blog out on CSRWrestling.com titled “We’re Just Here To Wrestle.” The following is a sample:

But even so, as clueless and non-engaging as some segments came off, at least they were memorable in some regards because of who was involved. At least they had some purpose, some story. Kevin Owens versus Cesaro, however, is left to be forgotten.

While they both put on another stellar match—why would anyone care? I understand there will be random matches on Raw, but each match, no matter what type it is, should be the further telling of the story of the wrestler involved; because if not, you’re just out there wrestling with no purpose.

No Story. No Purpose. No Interest.

Some will argue it’s a “grudge match”. Well, what grudge there was hasn’t been seen since Cena was involved between them… And Cesaro didn’t even do as much as to interfere to cost Owens the match against Cena in their final match, something Owens had done to Cesaro previously. The most that has happened is that Cesaro has called out Owens on running out of his matches. Grudge matches have to be personal; you have to be fighting for something.

The beautiful Caroline Collins surprised Justin and Josh with her appearance backstage at the CSR taping on Thursday. She talked about what she’s been up to since leaving CSR and had fun joking with the guys as they got ready. You could have watched it live on WZ’s Periscope channel. Every Thursday 4:30pm EST, you can watch behind the scenes and the first segment of CSR being filmed live on Periscope.

You can still see the Periscope video until 4:30pm EST on Friday as the videos are archived for 24 hours before Periscope deletes them. The first segment that you could have seen filmed live is the segment posted below on all the crazy hot topics. Each topic is addressed and the question of is this the worst year ever for wrestling headlines? That question is debated between Justin LaBar and Josh Isenberg.
