Some fans, especially the smarter and more invested, find his character and in-ring work boring. I do feel Sheamus has another gear he needs to find and kick up his work quality.
One thing that can’t be denied about the Irishman is his physicality in the ring. There’s no ignorant snickers of what he’s doing in the ring being “fake.”
With the physicality, title and Paul Heyman’s gift for gab selling the fight — Brock Lesnar facing Sheamus could be a great choice for a WWE title match in the dog days of fall.
